Updates on the energy flowing throughout the Congregation
Feast of the Assumption – August 15
The mystery of the Assumption concerns each and every one of us. It is an exemplary illustration of the fullness of life and existence for which the Lord has redeemed us. Mary’s redemption did not end at her Immaculate Conception, but led her along the paths of faith and charity toward a total participation of her person, body and soul to the glory of the risen Christ. This same redemption is at work in us. Ceaselessly it incites us to renounce sin and to go forward in faith as Mary did; in a word, beginning here below to live in communion with Christ’s paschal mystery and, for this purpose, assuming our daily difficulties and joys, so that we also may reach the glory of the resurrection.
Thus, the contemplation of the mystery of the Assumption introduces us into the very heart of our faith. It embraces the whole dynamism of the Christian mystery. It is the path to hope.

Mary, assumed into heaven, be our guide on the way of hope.

Mary of the Assumption, woman of the new dawn, is the guarantee that the light is victorious and that it will gradually permeate all things. (Monique Fleury, SASV, 1998)

Mary is the living memory of God’s gifts to humanity. She shared our human condition and lived in solidarity with the entire human family. She is also inscribed in the condition of the redeemed. The resurrection promised to all is anticipated in Mary’s Assumption. (Pierrette Lesage, SASV, 2009)

Mary’s earthly life reminds us to be open to the calls of the Spirit so that life may spring forth in abundance. Like Mary, humble and trusting, let us keep the door of our hearts open and attentive to the signs of the Spirit. (Monique Lefebvre, SASV, 2022)
Prayer to Honor the Assumption of Mary
Let us rejoice in the glorious Assumption of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven, where she is raised above the angels, reigning eternally with Jesus Christ.
V: Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God
R: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
We beseech you, Lord, to bless our works, in view of the glorious mystery of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin whom we profess to honor in a special way. May we be welcomed one day to share in her glory. We ask this through the intercession of our Most Holy Mother and through the merits of her divine Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns for all ages. AMEN.
Join us in praying a decade of the rosary.
2024 Jubilarians
We sing a resounding Magnificat in thanksgiving for our 2024 jubilarians! Their response, “Here I am,” renewed in joy, trust and hope, is a precious testimony to God’s faithfulness at work in their daily lives. The love they reflect, the wisdom they share, the joy they bring, and the prayer they offer touches many lives. We thank God for the gift of their vocation, the gift of their fidelity, and the gift of their years serving God as Sisters of the Assumption.
